Robot Vacuum Cleaner App Features: No Go Lines, Floor Plan, Schedule
The main benefit of a robot vacuum cleaner is that you can control your Botvac with an app. The Neato Robotics app can be downloaded from on IOS or Android phone or tablet.
Once you have connected the app to your WiFi you can name your new best friend. Set your Botvac robot vacuum cleaner to complete a new floor plan so that you can tell it where to go and where not to go using only your finger.
That is where the No Go Lines come in. Once your floor plan is complete, you can draw lines on the floor plan diagram in the app. The robot vacuum cleaner will avoid these lines.
You can also set manual No Go Lines by placing the magnetic strips provided in the box.
One of our favourite parts of the app is the handy schedule feature. If you know it’ll be a messy day on Wednesday then set your Botvac to clean at 6pm on Wednesday afternoon. Easy.
The Neato mobile app also lets you see a Cleaning Summary with information about the last 20 cleaning runs in your Neato robot vacuum’s history.

Google Home
Once your all set up and have started living and not vacuuming then you can take it a step further. Google Home lovers are in luck as you can connect the Neato Botvac robot vacuum cleaner to the Google Home. This is a useful feature as it allows other family members to control the robot without access to your smartphone. All you have to do is head to the discover page on the Google Home app, type in Neato Robotics and sign in with your Neato credentials. After that you can use all different voice commands.
